In February 2014, my friend and amazing Tuscan chef, Alessandro Piccinini was persuaded to leave the beautiful countryside in Tuscany where he lives and works to come to Hale, Cheshire and give a series of cooking classes at my home. Over a period of two weeks over 60 people enjoyed hands-on cookery classes and of course then sat down to enjoy the delicious food they had prepared, washed down by a considerable quantity of wine brought over from Tuscany especially for the occasion!
It was a complete sell-out and such a success that he returned in November 2014 and this time even more people were able to enjoy the delights of the cookery classes followed by a delicious dinner.

Menu 1: Tagliatelle with tuscan meat sauce, Faraona alla’arancia (guinea fowl in orange), Tuscan apple pie
Menu 2: Potato flan with cheese sauce, Pasta roll stuffed with ricotta and spinach, Tiramisu
Menu 3 Zafferani: Tagliolini with saffron zucchini and zucchini flowers , Chicken legs with prunes and saffron, Saffron panna cotta with blackberry sauce
Menu 4: Green gnocchi with 4 cheeses sauce, Chicken cacciatora, Strudel with pears chocolate and almonds
This time in addition to more ‘sell-out’ cookery classes, Alessandro created a magnificent 6-course Tuscan dinner which was served at the Cranford Cafe in Knutsford.
The dinner included:
prosecco and aperitivo on arrival
vin santo e cantucci
It was sold out and a huge success. He will be making another very special dinner in November 2015 and places will be limited to 40. Bookings are already coming in so if you would like to reserve places now please let me know.
